AM2
The AM2 is an industry recognised assessment that should be taken by Apprentices undertaking the Electrotechnical Framework (those on the Standard must undertake the AM2S), those undertaking the JIB Mature Candidate Assessment or those non-apprentices completing the Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation.
The AM2 consists of a four timed practical and one online assessment, all completed in test conditions over in our All Saints' Campus, Worcester. All of the assessments are designed to test the skills and knowledge that a fully qualified electrician needs when working in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. All assessments must be completed to the highest of standards whilst demonstrating safe working practices.
Before undertaking the AM2 assessment you can book a revision training course with us. This one-day course gives you the opportunity to practice the skills you will be assessed on during the AM2 and revise theory aspects with support from our expert staff. You will need to complete and submit the Readiness for Assessment: Candidate Self-Assessment Checklist before you can start the AM2 assessment.
