Course Overview

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) is a work-related qualification at Level 3. The qualification puts learning into the context of the world of work, giving students the opportunity to apply their research, skills and knowledge in relevant and realistic work contexts. This applied, practical approach means learners build the knowledge, understanding and skills they need for career progression or further study.

Learners will need workshop suitable clothing, safety footwear, scientific calculator, pens, pencils, paper and a lever arch folder.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.

A variety of assessment methods are used including Projects, Reports, Coursework, Presentations and Assignments.

What can I do next

Progress to one of our undergraduate courses such as a HNC in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or to University, an apprenticeship or employment.
