Our annual freshers' fairs recently took place at our Worcester, Bromsgrove and Redditch campuses so we thought this was a great opportunity to speak with our new students about how they’ve been getting on!

The new academic year is now in full swing and over the past few weeks we have welcomed lots of new faces to our HoW College community. It has been great to see our new students settling in, meeting new people and entering the next stage of their future.

We spoke with students starting a range of different courses to see how they’ve been settling during their first weeks of college, here’s what they had to say.

We first spoke to Lauren, Care Level 1 student, who said:

“I have really enjoyed my first few weeks at HoW College, and I have enjoyed meeting new people. I prefer the college environment to school as it is friendly, and I feel that I have much more independence.”

When asked what they enjoy most about HoW College, Motor Vehicle student, Casper, said:

“I really like the community and have met some really nice people during my first few weeks. I have also enjoyed my lessons; they have been good.”

We also spoke with Faith, Ellie and Sophie who are Art and Design students, they added:

“During our first few weeks of college we have enjoyed the environment and having more independence. College feels a lot more easy going than school as we are able to focus on a subject we really enjoy, and the people have all been nice.”
