HoW College Students Taste-Test Success!

Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) recently welcomed a special guest, Jamie May, the Head Chef at Tom Kerridge's the Hand & Flowers. Jamie shared his culinary expertise with the Level 2 Hospitality and Catering students, preparing a delicious dish that left a lasting impression. The students were engaged and actively participated in the session, viewing it as a valuable learning opportunity.

During the demonstration, Jamie May talked the students through the cooking process, providing insights and tips to improve their understanding of each step. One standout piece of advice from Jamie was, "You should be looking at the dish you have served for your customer and feel envious that they are the ones eating it and not you." This highlighted to the students the importance of creating a memorable experience for their customers

The Easter-themed dish cooked up by Jamie featured a joint of lamb, showcasing both his skill and creativity in the kitchen. The students were amazed by Jamie's demonstration and gained valuable knowledge from the experience. This special visit provided the perfect opportunity for the students to interact with an experienced chef and explore the art of Hospitality and Catering!
