HoW College Students Gain Real-World Media Experiences with Redditch United

16 May 2025

HoW College was excited for their Level 3 Creative Media Production and Technology (TV & Film) learners to attend Redditch United’s final match of the 2024/25 season at The Valley Stadium to have an incredible opportunity.

The students gained valuable real-world experience as they got stuck into capturing the action of the match, the atmosphere of the crowd and even an exclusive behind the scenes content of a match day as they worked alongside the clubs’ media and communication team.

They learnt useful skills such as filming, interviewing and producing content on the day of the match. The students have been editing the footage that will be used as part of Redditch United’s future marketing material.

The brilliant opportunity not only contributed to students’ coursework but also enriched their professional portfolios, helping them start their careers on a strong footing.

As an anchor institution committed to fostering community partnerships, HoW College was thrilled to collaborate with Redditch United in creating inspirational learning environments that nurtures young people.

Adam Neal, Curriculum Manager for The Arts at HoW College, said:

“This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to apply their skills in a live environment, working under real pressure and delivering creative content. Experiences like this are invaluable for their development and progression into the media industry. We’re hugely grateful to Redditch United for their support and look forward to building on this relationship in the future.”
