HoW College Student Takes Control of HR Future!

Congratulations to Heart of Worcestershire College's (HoW College) Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) student Farhana Ahmedabadi-Patel who, on successful completion of her course, has been promoted to Medical Staffing Manager at an acute hospital.

Farhana studied the CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management course through a flexible learning programme at the College's Worcester campus.

On completion of her first year of study she was promoted to Specialist Human Resource Advisor, then again to Medical Staffing Manager following the successful completion of her second year at the College.

Talking about her experience at HoW College, Farhana said:

"I believe that the workshops at HoW College allowed me to meet fellow students from various backgrounds and that helped strengthen my understanding of practical and strategic human resource management."

Commenting on the support available at college, Farhana explained:

"The flexibility and support structure offered at HoW College, made it possible for me to study for a professional qualifications with a work-life balance that was manageable.

Out of class the tutors were only a phone call or email away. As a parent of a child with severe health needs, I was supported by every tutor especially during difficult periods and hospital stays."

HoW College offers a variety of human resource management courses in a variety levels and study modes, including part-time and flexible learning options.

When asked if she would recommend the College's provision, Farhana exclaimed:

"My team member was so impressed with my experiences at HoW College that she has commenced on the CIPD Level 7 course this year. She agrees that the workshops make it possible for her to achieve her dream of following a professional education whilst being a young parent with a full-time career."
