17 October 2018
From top of the class to the front of it, former student, Ash Worley, returns to Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) as a lecturer in HND Computing.
After completing the HND Computing & Systems Development with a distinction grade, Ash progressed onto the University of Wolverhampton where he achieved a first-class honours degree in Computer Networks.
As the owner of his own successful IT business, Wyre Forest IT Services,
Ash has a host of industry experience and knowledge which “drives” his passion for teaching the next generation of specialists.
Talking about his time studying at HoW College, Ash said:
“I initially studied computing at AS level but it didn’t work for me, coming to college was a completely different learning environment.
The flexible nature of the course and the industry-standard technology was invaluable to my education and helped me to progress onto university.”
Ash is currently completing his networking academy qualification with Huawei, a global information and communications technology solutions provider, and aims to deliver the course to students after he finishes it.
Commenting on his progression, Ash added:
“I believe you should never stop learning and developing yourself and for students looking to succeed in the IT sector hard work is paramount.
The College has recently launched its Centre of Digital Engineering (CODE) complete with a Virtual Reality Studio and an Employer Hub, making our learning facilities really stand-out against other local providers.”
From IT courses perfect for school leavers to higher and adult education programmes, HoW College prides itself on having a course suitable for every age and ability. For more information about studying computing and games design at please visit our website: howcollege.ac.uk
