HoW College celebrates outstanding results in GCSEs and and Level 2 vocational courses

Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) is celebrating the success of its students who have received their GCSE English and Maths and Level 2 vocational qualifications results today. HoW College has had another strong year, with so many students securing the qualifications that will further support the progression of their education towards their chosen career.


This year an impressive 91% of students who completed their studies at HoW College achieved a pass grade in their Level 2 qualifications   The College is celebrating an impressive 100% pass rates for many courses across the four campuses, including courses in Plumbing, Plastering, Media Skills, Beauty Therapy, Engineering and Public Services. The students’ achievements ensure they have what they need to progress to Level 3, an apprenticeship or take the step into employment to begin their chosen career.
In addition to the excellent Level 2 vocational results nearly 200 learners have achieved their GCSE English at grade 4 or above and nearly 150 achieved their GCSE Maths as a result of the support, guidance and teaching from the College.


Michelle Dowse, Principal and CEO at HoW College, said: “We’re delighted with the achievements of our students. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of both our learners and our teachers. English and Maths are essential qualifications, and it's fantastic to see so many of our students succeeding. We’re so proud to have supported students that have now achieved Grade 4 or above - it’s incredibly impressive. We are also immensely proud of the Level 2 results of our students.  This is an exciting time for our students who are taking the next steps towards their future.”


Tom Collins, Labour MP for Worcester, added: “This is the moment to congratulate everyone who achieved GCSEs - well done! I'd encourage everyone who's receiving their results to keep dreaming, keep working, and take this moment to celebrate all that they have already achieved!”

You should be incredibly proud of the hard work and resilience you’ve shown. Whatever your grades, that dedication matters most. These results open many routes ahead, from A-Levels and T-Levels to apprenticeships or vocational training.
