Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) are celebrating their success of being shortlisted for two awards at this year's Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards celebrate firms across the two counties and are a great way to raise awareness of local business success. This year they had over 140 entries, making it a tough competition!

This year HoW College have been shortlisted for not only one, but two categories. The first being Best Use of Technology, an award that recognises organisations that have fully exploited the range of technology available to them to grow their business. And the second being for Commitment to the Community, an award that is open to any organisation, irrespective of size or sector, that can demonstrate its commitment to the community.

When asked about being shortlisted for Best Use of Technology, Amy Hollier stated:

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best Use of Technology category in the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards. We have worked hard to find innovative ways to support our learners and the wider FE sector during the pandemic through the use of technology and are proud of what we have achieved. It has been a great team effort and has demonstrated that technology can be a real enabler to bring communities together for the greater good.”

After finding out the college has been shortlisted for Commitment to the Community, Neil Gardiner said:

“This is a fantastic recognition of the unwavering commitment from the Community team in providing aspirational education throughout Worcestershire communities.”

Congratulations HoW College, this is an excellent achievement for the college and its staff members!
