Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College), will be launching their very first ‘Fearless Females’ campaign on International Women’s Day, Sunday 8th March. The week long campaign aims to highlight all of the wonderful women – staff and students – who are a part of the College, as well as highlighting some great opportunities in the Worcestershire area for their fearless females to get involved in.

The week is set to hold an online feature called ‘HoW Heroines’, which will focus on college alum, current students and staff members who demonstrate what it means to be a ‘Fearless Female’. These individuals vary from being World Championship medal holders and wolf runners raising money for charity, to those encouraging the next generation to continue to break stereotypes and study in areas still deemed to be male dominated. The online campaign will be bursting with fearless females, but you will have to tune into the College Facebook and Instagram pages from Monday 9th to Friday 13th of March for the full stories!

HoW College have also been preparing for their campaign by getting in contact with local individuals and clubs to open up new opportunities for students and staff. The College hopes that by offering a variety of external opportunities, every female will be encouraged to be a little fearless by trying something new and pushing their own personal boundaries.

Some of the great offers and opportunities available will include: powerlifting, rugby netball, swimming, football, Zumba, Parkrun, plus much more. The Fearless Females campaign will be full of great chances to meet new friends, get moving and try something new.

Speaking on behalf of the marketing department, Head of Marketing and Sales, Hannah Griffiths, commented:

“Here at HoW College we’re extremely proud of our dynamic and diverse students and workforce. To celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day the team created the ‘Fearless Female’s’ campaign as a way of demonstrating the importance of empowering all females, by highlighting their greatest achievements and showcasing their determination to succeed.”

The marketing department won’t be stopping with just a campaign for females however, as they will also be running a campaign for all of their ‘Magnificent Males’ later on this year to tie in with International Men’s Day. The campaign will focus on similar areas to those within the female’s campaign, with a look at breaking gender stereotypes, celebrating those achieving great things and encouraging people to try something new.
