Heart of Worcestershire College selected as a WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence

Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) is proud to announce that it has been selected to join the prestigious WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, recognising its commitment to promoting a culture of ambition and excellence for its students and apprentices.
The WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, run in partnership with specialist awarding organisation NCFE, is a workforce development programme. It empowers educators and leaders to use international best practice to drive excellence in technical education and apprenticeships.
As part of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, HoW College will participate in the network’s world-class teacher training programme to help teaching staff support students and apprentices in developing the high-level skills needed to succeed in the workplace. There will also be opportunities for HoW College to collaborate with industry leaders and education professionals in the UK and internationally to drive innovation in teaching and learning and take part in specialist industry masterclasses in priority sectors.

This opportunity will enable our teaching staff to world-class training and international best practice, ensuring our students and apprentices develop advanced skills, confidence, and ambition they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive workforce.”
