On Tuesday the 15th October 10 year old Elena visited Heart of Worcestershire College’s (HoW College) Fountains salon, where she had over 16 inches of her hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust.

Elena, who has been growing her hair for over five years chose Fountains salon after her Godfather suggested she reached out to HoW College. It was the College’s Level 3 hairdressing student, Ruby Parker, who had the honours of cutting Elena’s hair for this great cause.

After achieving her initial target and raising enough money to cover the cost of making one wig, Elena has now reached a total that allows the charity to make a second wig.

The Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions.

Talking about why she wanted to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust, Elena said:

“I am growing my hair to make wigs for Little Princess Trust because it must be very sad to lose all your hair.”

We are extremely proud of Elena’s accomplishment and great donation to the Little Princess Trust. Well done Elena!
