National Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services, Level 3
Course Overview
Level 3 Uniformed and Protective Services is a challenging and rewarding course designed for learners who are serious about progressing into careers within the uniformed services, including the police, armed forces, fire and rescue service, ambulance service, and protective services.
The course develops advanced knowledge and practical skills required for public service roles, with a strong emphasis on leadership, teamwork, communication, physical fitness and professional behaviour. Learners will study key topics such as the structure and responsibilities of uniformed services, equality and diversity, mental and physical wellbeing, and responding to emergency and real‑life scenarios.
Through a combination of classroom learning, practical activities and leadership tasks, students build confidence, resilience and decision‑making skills essential for employment or further training. This qualification provides an excellent pathway to higher education, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the uniformed and protective services.
The equipment for this course is a sports kit, pen and paper.
