Course overview
This course is for students who are working at Level 1 and are preparing to enter the workplace. Students are able to access learning independently but may need limited support to do so. Students learn the skills they need to enter and be functional in the workplace. Students investigate employment preferences and further develop skills in Maths and English in order to prepare them to enter the world of work.
Entry requirements
Entry level 3 and level 1 learners with special educational needs and a Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

How will I be assessed?
You will receive an ongoing assessment of your needs, with personal targets set to promote your learning and support progression. You will complete a folder of your work. Your tutor will mark your work and meet with you to give you feedback.
What can I do next
Progression options can include:
• Paid or voluntary sector employment.
If further progression at college has been identified in-year learners can move on to: Mainstream Provision at Level 1/Level 2, Supported Internships.
