Course Overview

The VTCT (iTEC) Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments is designed to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to deliver a variety of advanced aesthetic treatments to the public and pursue careers within the beauty industry. This qualification establishes occupational competence at Level 4 and serves as a strong foundation for further study and professional development.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold either the VTCT Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skin Care or the VTCT (iTEC) Level 2 Certificate in Facial Skincare (or an equivalent qualification), along with a Level 3 qualification in Anatomy and Physiology

Course Modules

Students will be required to complete the units below to gain the qualification:

· Principles, practice, and ethics of advanced aesthetic therapies.

· Investigative consultation for advanced aesthetic therapies.

· Skin science for advanced aesthetic therapies.

· Provide radio frequency treatments.

· Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments.

· Provide skin peeling treatments.

· Enhance appearance using dermaplaning techniques

Throughout this qualification, students will enhance their knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology, and health and safety relevant to Level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies. They will also gain the expertise and practical skills required to consult with and assess clients while delivering treatments such as skin needling, skin peeling, Radio Frequency, and dermaplaning . Alongside these technical abilities, students will strengthen their communication and customer service skills and broaden their understanding of the principles and practices underpinning Level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies—competencies that are highly valued by employers.
