Hair and Beauty

Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Level 2

Course Overview

The Level 2 Beauty Therapy Studies course builds on basic skills and introduces more advanced techniques needed for professional work in the beauty industry. Learners develop practical skills in areas such as facials, waxing, manicure and pedicure, tanning, and lash and brow treatments, while gaining a deeper understanding of anatomy, health and safety, and client care. This qualification prepares students for employment in salons or for progression to Level 3 study.

All essential beauty equipment and products needed for lessons and assessments will be provided within the training salon. However, learners are required to purchase their own uniform and personal beauty kit to support their practical development. The uniform ensures a professional appearance and meets industry standards, while the individual kit allows learners to practise skills independently and maintain good hygiene throughout the course. Full details of the required items, costs, and suppliers will be provided during interviews / induction evenings.
