Course Overview

The VTCT Skills Level 2 Award in Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments and Eyelash Perming at Heart of Worcestershire College is a practical, hands-on course that equips learners with the core skills and knowledge needed to perform professional eyebrow shaping and eyelash and eyebrow tinting and perming.

Designed for those entering the beauty industry or wishing to enhance their current skills, this course covers essential topics such as health and safety, client consultation, and aftercare advice, alongside core treatment techniques. Learners will gain hands-on experience through supervised practice and assessments, building confidence and competence in delivering professional-standard services. On successful completion, learners will be prepared for employment in beauty salons or progression to advanced beauty therapy qualifications.

Kits will be supplied by the college and kept on campus for use during all practical sessions. If you prefer to have your own personal kit to take home and practise with, optional kit packages will be available for you to purchase.

Entry requirements

4 GCSE grade 3 and above (including Maths & English) and a successful interview.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment for the Level 2 Eye treatments qualification includes a combination of practical observations, written tasks, and online or paper-based tests. Learners are evaluated while performing practical treatments in a realistic salon setting, allowing them to demonstrate professional competence and industry standards. The theoretical components are assessed through written assignments, worksheets, and examinations covering topics such as anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care.
