Course overview

Do you hold a relevant level two hairdressing qualification? Would you like to up skills your qualification to a level three studying on a part time basis? Are you able to commit to one day a week and complete additional independent study to develop your skills and knowledge? This course is designed for 19+ learners and builds on existing level two skills whilst tackling more advanced styling, cutting, colouring, and colour correct techniques. This intense course combines theory and hands on experience within the on-site salons.

Entry requirements

Entry onto this qualification is via attainment of a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing and a successful interview

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is progressive and unit based involving both practical and written assessments with credit being given for skills as they are practiced within Fountains or Fusion. The qualification that is achieved on this course is NVQ level 3 hairdressing, which is validated by the awarding body VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust).

What can I do next

At the end of the qualification you can further develop your knowledge and skills by undertaking level 4 qualifications or progress into a career as a newly qualified stylist in various contexts such as commercial salons, independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based
