Course Overview

The Level 3 Beauty Therapy Massage course is an advanced qualification designed to develop skilled, confident practitioners in a wide range of professional massage techniques. Learners build on their existing knowledge to master treatments such as Swedish massage, aromatherapy, hot stone therapy, Indian head massage, and pre blended oil massage. The course also deepens understanding of anatomy and physiology, consultation techniques, and the importance of adapting treatments to meet individual client needs. Training takes place in a realistic salon environment, allowing learners to refine their practical skills, professionalism, and client care abilities. This qualification prepares students for employment in salons, spas, and wellness centres, or for further specialist study within the beauty therapy sector.

All essential beauty equipment and products needed for lessons and assessments will be provided within the training salon. However, learners are required to keep their level 2 beauty kit to support their practical development. The uniform ensures a professional appearance and meets industry standards, while the individual kit allows learners to practise skills independently and maintain good hygiene throughout the course. Full details of the required items, costs, and suppliers will be provided during interviews / induction evenings.

4 GCSE grade 3 and above (including Maths & English).

How will I be assessed?

You will create a portfolio of your work based on the skills you develop at Fountains or Fusion and your tutor will mark this as you complete each task. Each unit is delivered individually, so you can work at your own pace and be assessed when you feel ready.
