Course Overview
The Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery is designed for learners who have developed basic skills and want to advance their practical ability and technical knowledge in timber construction.
This qualification builds on Level 1 foundations and focuses on more complex first and second fix carpentry tasks, accuracy, productivity, and understanding construction technology. The course combines practical workshop training with classroom-based theoretical learning, ensuring learners understand both how to complete tasks and why methods are used in industry.
For this course learners will need stationery, steel toe capped boots, a tape measure and a scale rule.
Entry requirements
Minimum GCSE grade 2 in English Language and Mathematics.
