Level 1 Award in Cybersecurity (Part Time)
Course Overview
The Level 1 Award in Cyber Security introduces learners to the fundamentals of cybercrime, digital threats, and the routine protective methods used to keep systems and data secure. Learners explore key concepts such as cybercrime risks, vulnerability and penetration testing principles, and user access control, developing an understanding of how attacks impact individuals and organisations. Delivered as a single unit, portfolio assessed qualification with no formal exam, it provides a supportive first step for those new to the field and offers a strong foundation for progression into apprenticeships, or employment in digitally focused roles.
The Level 2 Award in Digital and IT Skills develops learners’ confidence and competence in using digital tools for work, study, and everyday tasks. It builds practical skills in areas such as office based software, digital communication, cybersecurity awareness, and creating and managing digital content, enabling learners to apply computing theory to real world scenarios. Designed to support progression into employment or further digital learning, the qualification helps learners strengthen their IT capabilities and prepare for roles requiring essential digital and IT knowledge.
