Course Overview

The EDSQ Entry Level 3 qualification helps learners develop the essential digital skills needed for everyday life, work and further learning. It introduces learners to five core areas: using devices and handling information, creating and editing content, communicating online, transacting safely, and being safe and responsible online. The course builds confidence with basic digital tasks such as navigating devices, managing files, using email and communication tools, and completing simple online transactions, all aligned with the national Essential Digital Skills standards. It is designed for learners with low or no digital skills, providing a practical foundation that enables progression to Level 1 Essential Digital Skills qualification.

Designed for beginners with low or no IT skills.

Course Modules

Using devices and handling information: using hardware and software, searching and navigating.
- Creating and editing: using apps to enter and edit information using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Communicating: sending and receiving communications including email.
- Transactions: e-commerce and buying online.
- Being safe and responsible online: being safe online, protecting your data, etc.
