Professional Accounting Technician, Level 4

Course overview

Apprentices will attend College on a day release basis to study AAT Level 4 to underpin the knowledge elements of the apprenticeship. Apprentices are required to build a portfolio of evidence during their time on the programme.

Each apprentice will be allocated a coach to support ongoing learning and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA). Progress Reviews will take place regularly to ensure the apprentice is on track.

- Management Accounting: Budgeting
- Management Accounting: Decision and Control
- Accounting Systems and Controls
- Cash and Treasury Management
- Credit Management
- Professional Synoptic Assessment

How will I be assessed?

Each apprentice will be allocated a coach to support ongoing learning and preparation for their End Point Assessment (EPA). Progress Reviews will take place regularly to ensure the apprentice is on track and each apprentice will be required to take an exam.

The two EPA assessment methods are:
- Portfolio of Evidence
- Role Simulation

What can I do next

Apprentices who achieve AAT Level 4 will be eligible to apply for full AAT membership.

You may also consider taking further courses to progress your career, including professional qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
