AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting, Level 2

Course overview

A career in accounting can be a smart and rewarding decision. Accounting is a field that will always be in demand and will allow motivated and determined employers to progress in their respective companies.

An AAT accounting qualification will start you on the path to a successful accounting and finance career. Our training will give you the practical skills and financial expertise to follow a rewarding career in professional accountancy. It is a practical vocational qualification, leading to great career prospects.

This is the first stage to achieving full Accounting Technicians status. At this level you will start to develop your skills in double-entry book keeping and gain a grasp of management and administrative processes. You will learn basic costing principles, how to use manual and computerised accounting systems and how to work with purchase, sales and general ledgers.

This course is being delivered on the AQ2022 syllabus and our current pass rates for this course are above the national average for AAT.

DELIVERY INFORMATION
This course is delivered in Worcester on Tuesdays (face to face), Wednesday at Bromsgrove (face to face) and Monday and Tuesday evenings (50/50 face to face and via Microsoft Teams).

APPRENTICESHIP OPTION
AAT Foundation Level 2 and Advanced Level 3 can also be completed as an apprenticeship for which we have exceptionally high completion rates and your employer can use their levy.

STAFF EXPERIENCE
Our AAT delivery team between them have many years of both Accountancy teaching and commercial accounting experience, in both local and international companies. Professionally qualified in CIMA, ACCA, AAT and at MBA level, our tutors also use their knowledge broadly, for example, as professional accounting authors and supporting Apprenticeship students in the workplace. Our aim is to use our experience and knowledge to support every student to achieve their learning aim and we are very proud of our continued high pass rate at every Level of AAT.

Entry requirements

The minimum requirement is Grade 4 (or equivalent) in both GCSE English and Maths.
