Course overview

Accounting Technicians are the dedicated support staff who are employed to prepare the financial information which professional accountants or business managers use when giving financial advice or making decisions.

This course will provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to undertake the demanding work of an accounting technician. Throughout the course students will examine topics including accounts preparation, final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, costs and revenues, indirect tax, professional ethics in accounting and finance and spreadsheets, providing them with the necessary skills and qualifications for a career in this dynamic field.

Heart of Worcestershire College pass rates for this course are currently above the national average for AAT.

This course is also offered as an apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

Students can progress to this course if they have successfully completed AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate.

How will I be assessed?

Computer based exams for all modules, All assessments will take place during normal lesson time where possible.

Delivery Information
This course is delivered in Worcester on Wednesday 9.45am -4.45pm or Wednesday and Thursday evening 5.45pm- 9pm and in Bromsgrove on a Monday 9.30am-4.30pm.

Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress onto the AAT Diploma for Accounting Technicians, Level 4.
