Joshua’s Story:

Joshua started his Commis Chef standard as a quiet and quite nervous young man. Over the period of learning Joshua has blossomed in to a confident young chef who is capable of standing by his actions and decisions and being able to back his decisions with mature reasoning.

His ability within a kitchen has developed both in college and within the workplace and has helped Joshua turn his apprenticeship in to a full time position. He is responsible for the complete production of two sections within the kitchen in a fast-paced busy pub. Joshua had the extra hurdle to overcome within his apprenticeship with his end point assessment happening at the time of lockdown and furlough, however, we are pleased to say Joshua was able to finish his standard from home and successfully passed his Commis Chef Standard.
