Heart of Worcestershire College's (HoW College) Level 3 Games Design students levelled up their knowledge as they were visited by Games Writer, Tony Jeffree, who spoke to them about the industry.

Tony gained his screenwriting degree from the University of Worcester, and is currently a lead writer on an unannounced action game for Playstation VR and an indie game he wrote and created with gaming company, Far Few Giants.

Tony used his knowledge and experience to inform our students on how to progress their careers in the gaming industry through an interactive talk and sharing samples of his work.

Speaking about the visit, a Level 3 Games Design student commented:

"I found it really useful, it was great for someone from the actual industry to really tell you what you need to do and all of the events to attend and games to be playing".

Games Design and Digital Media Lecturer Peter Tierney added:

"I feel that the visit was very positive and gave the learners a valuable insight into the realities of making contacts and getting a foot in the door in the video games industry. The students commented that they really enjoyed the visit and would like him to return as they wanted to learn more."

HoW College prides itself on being able to offer its students experiences such as these that help them to develop in their chosen subjects.
