FE Awards 2021

FE Awards 2021

Welcome to our page for the

Further Education Awards 2021!

Each year, we host our Further Education Awards to highlight and celebrate the students who have achieved great things. Whether they have been top of the class, made significant improvements within their education, or possess commendable traits that will take them far in life; we have awards to celebrate it all.

Typically, we host our award ceremonies in person and have an evening of celebrations and speeches. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we made the difficult decision to host our award ceremony digitally for this year - but this won't stop us celebrating our students! In light of the achievements, our award winenrs received gift boxes, amazon gift cards, certificates and copies of the citations read by staff in our FE Awards video.

Why not take a look at our video and hear just how remarkable our students are!

Award categories

Departmental Awards - these awards are created specifically for each department, and often relate to the overall achievements and progress of those within the given subject areas. Such awards are decided by teaching staff within the department(s) at hand.

Open Awards - these awards are created to encompass all students throughout the College, and relate to specific traits and attitudes that have shone through within the last academic year. Such awards can be issued to any student on an FE level course or apprenticeship, and are separated into campus locations (Redditch & Bromsgrove, Worcester & Malvern). Winners for these awards are determined as a result of staff (independent from teaching areas) assessing the submitted citations and identifying which student fits the criteria best for the given award.

Student of the Year Awards - these awards are created to highlight and celebrate 2 students from the College who have stood out over the last academic year. Any student who is entered for an FE Award (be that departmental or open) will be entered into the running to win an Student of the Year Award, and one winner is selected for Redditch & Bromsgrove, and one for Worcester & Malvern. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meet to evaluate submissions for the academic year and select the 2 students they feel are most deserving.

From all of us here at HoW College, we would like to say a very big well done to everyone for their hard work over the last academic year. It has been incredibly difficult for many of our students; however, your determination, passion and perseverance has been outstanding, and we wish everyone nothing but the best in their future endeavours.
