Mindfulness For Change - Online Course
This four-week course shows us how to be mindful: to bring awareness to patterns of behaviour that damage our resilience to life and drain our health.
The ways we deal with change often leaves us feeling anxious, angry, disappointed. Being mindful helps us to see why this happens. Once we know what we’re doing to ourselves, life changes.
The course is practical and down-to-earth and will look at what mindfulness is and what it isn’t and, most important of all, will show you how to be mindful, sitting on a cushion and in your daily life.
It’s suitable for complete beginners and for those who may wish to consolidate previous practises.
Short talks, discussion, enquiry and of course mindful meditation make up each session.
The guided meditations used are downloadable so that you can work with them between sessions.
Each week you may like to bring water to drink and a blanket. No special meditation equipment such as cushions, seating etc. are needed.
This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, a free to download, web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online; as a result, you will need a computer (or other device that supports Microsoft Teams), webcam, headphones with a microphone and a good web connection.
Please note this course depends on minimum student numbers to run, we therefore do not recommend you purchase any equipment until the course is confirmed as going ahead. You will be refunded the course fee should this course be cancelled.
