Further Photography

Course overview

Looking to enhance your photography skills and develop your portfolio? Get back behind the lens with our Further Photography course. If you’re a serious amateur that has already mastered the basics of photography then this course is ideal for you!

During this course you will review technical aspects of photography such as lighting, better use of aperture, shutter and film speed, but the main emphasis will be on principles of composition for both portrait and landscape photography. By viewing and discussing examples of your own work and others you will gain the confidence to explore and develop your skills with the camera.

In addition to the 7 evening sessions there will be 3 two-hour Saturday or Sunday morning outdoor photo location shoots at local venues. These are arranged in consultation with the you beforehand. These are an integral part of the learning experience.

This course will be delivered by an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a thorough knowledge of Photography.

You will need to bring your own camera and equipment to each session as this will not be provided. Recommended camera would be a DSLR or equivalent. A tripod and a flashgun would also be helpful.

Please note this course depends on minimum student numbers to run, we therefore do not recommend you purchase any equipment until the course is confirmed as going ahead. You will be fully refunded the course fee should the course be cancelled.
