Course overview

If you are keen to develop a career in the hair and beauty industry, then this is the course for you. Our course will help you explore a range of exciting topics through
classroom study, practical sessions and work placements to help you turn your dream job into reality.


T-Levels are a composite technical study programme, aimed at preparing young people for work or higher education. They comprise of three components:
- An approved technical qualification
- Substantial industry placement hours with an external employer
- Incorporate English, maths and digital requirements

Entry requirements

5 GCSES 9-4 including maths and English. Entry will be a satisfactory interview

Occupational Specialist Pathway – Hairdressing
• Shampoo, treat and condition the hair and scalp
• Use technical, precision and bespoke cutting techniques to create a variety of fashionable looks
• Use a range of styling and finishing techniques to create a variety of fashionable looks
• Colour hair and carry out bespoke colour conversions
• Provide smoothing and strengthening services
• Plan create and promote a collection of hair looks

Occupational Specialist Pathway – Beauty Therapy

Develop and recommend bespoke treatments plans and experiences
Provide hand, nail and foot services to meet current trends
Provide a range of hair removal services
Perform manual and technical treatments using basic and advance therapy techniques and equipment
Create and demonstrate a range of make up looks, including enhancement eyelashes and brows

How will I be assessed?

A range of assessments are used including practical observations, projects, question papers and awarding body exams

What can I do next

You can move into employment in a hairdressing or beauty therapy salon or spa. Move into further training at HE level
