Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Digital Media Design

Course overview

This modern, practical-focused course combines the benefits of digital technology with creative design. It has been tailormade to equip you with the knowledge and practical understanding to create, design and develop engaging interactive experiences.

Aimed at 16-19-year olds, the course covers a wide variety of modern media skills including 3D world building, graphic design and digital video production.

Our dedicated Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality labs are on site, with motion capture equipment available to help bring your ideas to life, while our fully equipped teaching labs will give you access to industry-standard development engines such as Unreal and 3D design software like Autodesk’s 3DS Max.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above. Those who have not achieved grade 4 or above in GCSE English & Maths will be required to study these qualifications as part of their study programme.

How will I be assessed?

The qualification is 100% coursework based and will be graded through a series of internal assignments and projects, including written reports, digital portfolios, presentations and interactive practical work.
