Course overview

Are you considering a career in bench joinery? Are you practical and have a good eye for detail? Could you see yourself working on a construction site, fitting out shops and bars or even building a set for film and TV? If so then this could be the course for you.

This programme is aimed at candidates who have completed the Diploma in Bench Joinery, Level 2, and develops the candidate's practical skills as well as introducing supervisory and organisational tasks.The Level 3 programme is aimed at those candidates who wish to further develop their skills to an advanced level and who wish to progress to site supervisory positions in their future career. The programme requires candidates funded as modern apprenticeships to complete level 2 Key Skills in both number and communication.

Entry requirements

Students will need to have a Diploma in Bench Joinery, Level 2 as well as a keen interest in the construction industry.

How will I be assessed?

You will assessed through a mixture of practical and written assignments.
