Introduction to IT Technical Support, Level 2

Course overview

This free course is aimed at anyone who wants to pursue a career in IT and wants to gain practical knowledge of how computers and computer networks work.

During this six-week course, you will learn how computers work and how to build your own computer as well as connecting devices together to create a computer network.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. This short course is aimed at adults (over the age of 19) with no previous experience of web design or development.

Course Modules

The Online World – learn how the internet has made us more connected than ever before.

Digital portfolio – put together a portfolio of your digital skills that can be used to showcase your knowledge, skills and experience to prospective employers in the growing web development industry.

Computer Systems Support in Practice – learn how computer and networks work by building your own.

How will I be assessed?

The course will be assessed using a mix of online tests and coursework (comprising the compilation of a portfolio of evidence).
