Award for IT Users, Level 2

Course overview

Looking to brush up on your IT skills or gain more confidence on the computer? Then why not try our Level 2 Award for IT Users.

This course allows you to take your first steps into Level 2 IT study. Our flexible learning style means that you can complete modules in an order than works for you, perfect when juggling a busy life-style!

In order to successfully complete this qualification you must pass and obtain 10 credits compiled from the range of units listed below.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have completed and have a comprehensive understanding of modules at a Level 1 standard. They should also be able to read English to an appropriate standard.

Course Modules

The course consists of individual modules which all count towards your full qualification.

Level 2 Award = 10 credits
Level 2 Certificate 16 credits
Level 2 Diploma 38 credits

Excel Spreadsheets (4 credits)
Access Databases (4 credits)
Using the Internet (4 credits)
IT User Fundamentals (4 credits)
Using Outlook (3 credits)
PowerPoint Presentations (4 credits)
Desktop Publishing (4 credits)
Improving Productivity (4 credits)
Web Design (4 credits)

How will I be assessed?

This nationally recognised qualification is validated by City & Guilds, who have been delivering first class qualifications for over 70 years.

Assessments take place on site in our IT Skills centres. Each assessment will be marked on site by one of our experienced staff and students receive in-depth feedback.

What can I do next

This course aims to build students confidence with IT equipment and software. Successful completion of the Level 2 Award in IT Users allows students to progress on to higher levels of study such as the Certificate in IT or Level 3 courses in the future.
