Witton Middle School gets a taste for life at HoW College
Last week students from Witton Middle School got a taste for life after school as they attended a taster day at Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College).
120 students from years 5 and 6 descended on the College’s Worcester campus to take part in a range of taster sessions giving them an insight into the subjects they could study once they leave school.
Throughout the day the students took part in a wide variety of sessions including: hospitality, sport, computing, business, games design, engineering, construction, hair & beauty, health & social care and art & design.
Speaking about the day Cathy Richards, Class Teacher at Witton Middle School, said:
“The children have thoroughly enjoyed their day at Heart of Worcestershire College. Giving them an early insight into the paths they can take after school is invaluable and we’re thrilled that the taster day has proven to be such a success.”
Anne Daniel, Head of Marketing at HoW College, added:
“Here at HoW College we’re pleased to offer local schools the opportunity to experience college life at numerous points throughout the academic year. Witton Middle School students have been a pleasure and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
