Top of the Class
There were celebrations all round last week as staff and students from the Heart of Worcestershire College donned their caps and gowns as part of the College's annual Higher Education graduation ceremony.
Taking place in the historic and picturesque settings of Worcester Cathedral, the students graduated in a range of subjects including Business, Engineering, Science, Graphic Design, Computing, Law, Marketing, Education and Training, Health and Safety and Public Services.
The students received their awards from Principal Stuart Laverick, Vice Chair of the Corporation Neill Bucktin and the Directors of their respective courses. Also in attendance at the ceremony were guest speaker Carl Arntzen Managing Director of Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd, Revd Alvyn Pettersen and Councillor Roger Knight, the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Worcester.
Daniel Turvey, who studied Business Foundation Degree at the College, said:
"I chose to study at the College as a way to ease myself into a full university course. Without this course I wouldn't have been able to progress to the next level and my time at the College has really helped me to move on to my future studies."
Principal Stuart Laverick added:
"We are extremely proud to have so many students graduating from the Heart of Worcestershire College this year. They've all shown great dedication to their studies and we wish them the best of luck with their future careers."
