HoW College students get a flavour of life in the armed forces
On Monday 25th January 2016, HoW College Public Services, Level 3, students spent the morning at the Army Reserve Centre. The morning aimed to give the group of 14 students a flavour of life in the armed forces. They completed a mixture of fun activities building on both their leadership and team working skills.
Speaking about the experience, Public Services Tutor, Laura Birmingham, said:
"The morning was well organised and I am proud of the student's attitude and performance. We received great feedback from the sergeant who arranged the session who said how well behaved the students were. He said they were a credit to the College and the public services course. Well done to everyone who came and took part!"
The students finished the morning with an interesting question and answer session on the different roles within the armed forces and a debate on whether women should be allowed to fight on the front line.
