Heart of Worcestershire College students have their heads in the 'clouds'.

Computing students from Heart of Worcestershire College have had their heads in the 'clouds' during an interactive workshop held by OGL Computer on Tuesday 21st March.

OGL Computer, who is a premier provider of business software, IT and cyber security solutions based in Stourport-upon-Severn, hosted two interactive sessions for the learners; the first focusing on careers within their technical division and the second looking at software development.  Students learnt about the latest cloud technologies, fixing problems remotely, business software and the applications they build to help businesses.

James Duckhouse, Leader of Computing at Heart of Worcestershire College commented:

"This was a fantastic opportunity for our learners. We have been working with OGL Computer for many years now and have over 25 ex-students currently working there. It is great to see so many of our learners progress onto employment with such a premier provider of IT solutions."

Emma Porter, Head of HR and Legal at OGL commented: "It's vital to our ongoing success that we engage with young people who will hopefully one day join our organisation.  We have a lot of long serving staff who have a wealth of knowledge and experience but coupling this with the fresh ideas from new staff is what enables us to continually improve what we do.  We are proud of our relationship with Heart of Worcestershire and we have many members of staff who once studied at the College and now hold roles ranging from 1st Line Engineers to Hosted Services Consultants."
