Within the civil aviation industry, cabin crew play an essential role in ensuring the safety and comfort of airline passengers.It is important, therefore, that airline cabin crew are appropriately trained for the job.The Certificate In Introduction to Cabin Crew prepares candidates for entry to airline training. It is not intended as a replacement to the training given by airlines to new airline cabin crew.It is ideal for those people interested in seeking employment within an airline.

Assessment will be by compiling an assessed portfolio.There are six units that you will study throughout the course.
Unit 1: Working as Cabin Crew
Unit 2: Airline Health, Safety and Security
Unit 3: Aircraft Emergency Procedures
Unit 4: Dealing with Passengers on Board an Aircraft
Unit 5: Cabin Service – Selling Techniques
Unit 6: Making Passenger Announcements on Board Aircraft

In addition to the units of study, you will have an opportunity to visit an airline Cabin Crew training centre.

Candidates must successfully complete all six mandatory units to be awarded the Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew, Level 2.Smart dress will be required whilst attending this course.

Entry requirements

Before commencing this course it is necessary for you to be aware of airline policy on height and weight restriction and other person specifications.

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence which will be created by written and practical work.  The course will require home study.

What can I do next

Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress to a level 3 course in a related area such as the Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
