Introduction to Photoshop & Lightroom

Course overview

This course is a quick but in depth introduction to some of the key tools and mechanics of the Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom softwares, and how to best use them to enhance your photography.

This course will be delivered through a mix of demonstration and hands-on work, with students seeing how to use certain parts of the software, before replicating it at their workstation in the MAC Suite.

This course will be taught by Drew Deas an Active Commercial Photographer, specialising in automotive work.

Entry requirements

Software and computers will be provided by the College. Students can bring their own images to work on or use images supplied by the lecturer.

Course Modules

- Basic Tools of Photoshop and Lightroom
- Colour Grading
- Basic Retouching Methods ( Frequency Separation, etc)
- Cleaning up images
- Learning Histograms
