Course overview

Create a page turner with our creative writing workshops!
Whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring writer this course will enable you to develop your writing style in a variety of different skills including poetry, storytelling and diary writing.

A fun and interactive introduction to creative writing with lots of input on techniques to improve all aspects of your storytelling. This course is designed to kick-start your writing and provide inspiration for future writing.

This course will be classroom based but in an informal, enjoyable social setting to develop your writing skills.

Our lecturer in creative writing has been teaching this popular course for several years and many students have enjoyed the course so much they’ve done it more than once (the current record is three times!)

A pen, paper and enthusiasm are all that is required for this course. If you prefer to write using a laptop you are welcome to bring this along.

Fairy-tale writing, poetry, diary writing may be included depending on the interests of the students.

What can I do next

The college is planning to run a one-off workshop on ‘How to get published’. Advice will also be given, during the course, on other ways to progress in creative writing.
