Diploma in Plastering, Level 1

Course overview

Are you considering a career in the construction industry? Are you practically minded and enjoy working with your hands? Can you work quickly and accurately under pressure? If the answer is yes then this could be the ideal course for you!

This course is the perfect introduction into the plastering trade, allowing you to gain the fundamental skills needed to progress into employment. You will learn the basics of surface preparation and internal plaster application along with producing plaster components from moulds.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a Grade 2 in GCSE English and Mathematics. Prospective students will be required to attend an informal interview and an interest in the construction industry would be advantageous.

Entry decisions will be discretionary at interview. Students will continually be assessed through probation period to ensure they are on the correct level.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a mixture of practical assessments in our workshops and theoretical assessments in the classroom.

What can I do next

If you're serious about a career as a plasterer then you will want to consider progressing onto our Diploma in Plastering, Level 2. Alternatively you may wish to consider an apprenticeship in the construction industry.
