Fast-Track HND in Business Management Part-Time
Do you want to achieve a HND Business Management in double quick time and for a sensible price?
This unique ‘fast-track’ course makes it possible for you to achieve this career enhancing qualification on a part-time basis in only two years (approximately half the time of most equivalent part-time degree-level courses).
This degree-level, work-related course covers all the essential business and management subjects, including; accounting, human resource management, marketing, operations, project management and business strategy. Not only will you learn about these vital areas, and how they all integrate and function together, but you will learn how they can be applied in organisations right now.
And it’s not all theory; you will also further develop your leadership potential and other important employability skills, attributes and strengths required by 21st century employers.
We aim to deliver a stimulating and challenging programme of study that is both engaging and memorable for our students. Our small class sizes allow for; innovative delivery and assessment methods, targeted personal support, regular one-to-one tutorials and intensive study skills training.
All lecturers who deliver on this course hold Masters degree qualifications and/or professional qualifications in their specialist subjects. In addition, all staff teaching on the course have relevant occupational experience at an appropriate level of seniority.
Applicants who have recently been in education require at least one of the following:
• A BTEC Level 3 qualification in business (or related subject area)
• A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a
relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one subject
• An Access to Higher Education Certificate
• Other equivalent level 3 qualifications (including international equivalents)
In addition, applicants must have achieved at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English (equivalent qualifications accepted).
Mature applicants (over 21 years) may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience (paid and/or unpaid) and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector.
Applicants whose first language is not English must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language at a minimum level of CEFR level B2/PTE 51/IELTS 5.5 (reading and writing must be at 5.5) or equivalent standards.
The College has a commitment to widening participation in Higher Education, and will therefore give careful consideration to prior experiential learning, non-traditional qualifications and qualifications obtained outside of the United Kingdom.

How will I be assessed?
We adopt a diverse approach to assessment that offers; assessments relevant to our students’ employment situations; supports progression to final year degree course studies and accommodates and enhances different learning styles. The course is continually assessed via a variety of assessment methods including: projects, reports, essays, case studies, simulations and presentations.
What can I do next
Most fast-track HND Business Management graduates progress directly to the fast-track BA (Hons) Business Management top-up degree course; which is validated by Staffordshire University and delivered at the College. The qualification is also recognised by other Higher Education providers as meeting admission requirements to many relevant business-related courses, for example: BSc (Hons) in Business and Management; BA/BSc (Hons) in Business Studies; BSc (Hons) in International Management. Alternatively, you could further develop your career in business, management or related professional occupations.
